The PDF is a document Format is a file format developed by Adobe in the 1990s to present documents, including text formatting and images, in a manner independent of application software, hardware, and operating systems.

The PDF files vary widely in the way that they are formatted and coded, which can lead to formatting issues during document conversion in the print process. Essentially, PDFs contain many layers of code and formatting that makes them very complex from a document transmission standpoint.

When printing directly from your computer to your printer on your local network, you may not see some of the same anomalies that you would see with a cloud-printing system. This is because there are more stages and conversions of the document and print job in the cloud-printing process.

Basically, these multiple stages and conversions can sometimes lead to some formatting issues by virtue of the fact that the document is not only being converted multiple times, but being transmitted over multiple networks (the internet).

Also, because no two PDFs are the same in the way they are coded, these inconsistencies lead to random and intermittent behavior which is hard to resolve from a troubleshooting and programming standpoint

This is the reason we provide the option to print-as-image function. This takes a PDF and flattens the document and converts into a regular, smaller image. Please before you complete this step to print as image remember check the latest update on your PDF reader
